Let’s not be slaves to publishing rhythms. Working in marketing myself I know the drill of sending things out in time - but frankly, I was just as happy about the notification when it came in „later as usual“ and if it safes you from extra stress, good for both of us ☺️

Ahh, another week, another letter from a scene we can only look at. It’s like Substack is really a portal to the most inside of insiders in the tennis world!

Andrea, congratulations on the Laver Cup job!! Your article is well done and I am living vicariously through you with all the excitement of being present at the Laver Cup- much less being the presenter at the Gala! Sooo thrilling! I’m sure you were intellectually marvelous!

Sorry to hear about the wardrobe crisis! I represent a wonderful collection based in Germany, “Zhrill”. They don’t do evening wear but they can dress you for many other events. I do rep other collections out of the UK, and Spain.

I can also connect you with some incredible designers in the U.S. for evening wear and other. I am a “women’s apparel rep” so if you are interested email to karen@klashowroom.com. I would love to help you anytime. There is no reason for clothing promised not to show up! ❤️👍🏽

It's a good thing that there is a fire extinguisher nearby, muy caliente, señora. Mac is still a good doubles player. You two could kick some ass, I believe.

Just saw you present at Laver Cup Andrea — great to see you in person …. Love the newsletter too, as a relative newbie to tennis. You’re educating me well!

Frances Tiafoe makes me SO happy too! He’s my favorite ATP player. I am willing to wait for however long it takes you to post your weekly story. If I can suggest, it would make me happy if you take it easy on yourself a bit. 🙂

I wish I had more imagination... namely the imagination of how good you would have looked in the other dress. That may be because I am so impressed with how good you actually looked in the second choice dress. And by the way, good performance and good writing.

While not by the Voice of God, it was pretty much the same thing when I caught your tennis analysis on T2 (Tennis Channel) a few months ago. I remembered you from my favorite tennis-watching year: 2011. At that year's US Open, a top highlight was seeing you and Ana practicing together on Louis Armstrong while Dušan shouted nonsensical things. My other top (perennial) US Open highlight: enjoying premium-priced food and drink.

You could have waited all the way until 8 pm Danish time - Sunday! When I had time to read. I loved it and I love the dress 💥

The presence of the door wedge (kicked aside with nary a thought) in the last photo feels metaphorical. Goodness me.
